Summer Recreation Program

This program offers baseball and softball for boys and girls in 2nd- 6th grade and golf and tennis for 5th - 8th grade students. The season runs for 6 weeks beginning the end of May. This program offers daily practices, weekly league games, tournaments, and a fun and safe environment for the kids. Pre-registration and fee is required.

T-Ball

Grades: 4 & 5 year olds (including transitional kindergarten students)
When: Monday nights beginning in June
Time: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Where: High School Fields

Parents are encouraged to come and help out. No charge or registration required for t-ball.

Golf

We also offer Golf for 5th - 8th grade boys and girls.

Baseball and Softball for Young and old

Baseball & Softball for Kindergarten - 6th grade boys and girls.
Cost is $20.

3 separate leagues:

NEW Peewee league: Kindergarten & 1st grade (completed kindergarten)
Little League: 2nd & 3rd grade
Junior League: 4th - 6th grade

Practices will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays and games on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Baseball & softball schedules will be handed out in school closer to date.

Registration forms can be picked up at the City Offices or at the West Sioux Schools

6:30-8:00 p.m.
Monday through Sunday.

These passes are valid for 2 weeks only.

All passes may be purchased at the city offices or the swimming pool.

Swimming Lessons

The Hawarden swimming pool offers swimming lessons for Levels I - VII. Registration forms are available at the West Sioux Schools and the City offices.

Class sessions:
Levels V-VII are held in June for 2 weeks and
Levels I-IV are held in July for 2 weeks.

Cost of lessons is now $20 resident and $25 non-resident

Summer Camp

A theme-based camp is offered for children ages 3-5 years. The various themes have been "Creepy Crawlers", "Under the Big Top", and "Messy Art Camp". This camp is held at the city park. Each summer it's held in July.  Cost $15.00. Includes games, crafts, and snacks.
