Youth Padded Football League

Open to all 5th & 6th grade students. This program starts in late August and runs for appoximately six weeks. Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Games are played on Saturday mornings.

Cost is $25.00 / includes all equipment & t-shirt

New Sportcourt Facility

Trick-Or-Treating At Oak Grove

During the month of October the Hawarden Recreation Dept. partners up with the Sioux County Conservation Board and offers a trick-or-treating event for the kids in Sioux County. The families meet at the river area and walk a luminary lit trail to Deer Run Campground, where campers are waiting with candy at their campsites. Afterwards, there is a bonfire at the Big Sioux River with smores.

Children ages 12 & under dress in costume to participate. No fee is charged to attend this event.
