The energy efficiency program is available again this year.

Requirements:

  1. The Items must be purchased locally.
  2. Rebate is in "Chamber Bucks" which may be redeemed at Hawarden Chamber Merchants.

Energy Efficiency Program for July 1,2000 to June 30, 2001

Residential Central Air Conditioners $100.00 12.0 and up SEER
Residential Gas Furnace $200.00 AFUE rating greater than 91%
Residential Refrigerator $50.00 Must be cooled by non-CFC refrigerants using840 kWh or less per year; at least a 14.5 cu. ft. size and resident must trade or dispose of old refrigerator
Residential Freezer $25.00 uses 625 kWh or less, at least a 13.5 cu. ft. in size, cooled by non-CFC refrigerants and resident must trade in or dispose of old freezer
Residential Weatherization 30% up to $100 attic R Value to 42
Retail Refrigerator $50.00 cooled by non-CFC refrigerants, using 840 kWh or less per year, at least a 14.5 cu. ft. size and resident needs to trade or dispose of old refrigerator
Retail Light $10.00 two tube fixtures with electronic ballast
Retail Gas Furnace $200.00 AFUE rating greater than 91%
Manufacturing Lights $10.00 two tube fixtures with electronic ballast
