Digital Cable Television
The HiTec Digital cable TV system offers:
If you have wished for DirecTV or Dish network programming, you now have access to all the benefits of Digital Cable value, programming and reception without the expense of dishes or equipment. Beginning July 1, 2002 the HiTec cable company will begin providing Digital Cable service.
A) More channels
Currently, HiTec Cable offers 58 basic channels, 6 premium channels and a local programming channel. Now the digital network provides an additional 150 channels in the Base Package and 4 Multiplex Premium Packages. Also Digital Music Express offers music channels for every taste.

C) More Choices
The Digital Service offers more than 150 channels in the Digital Package; [Sports, Variety, and Music] (44 Channels, plus 50 DMX channels, plus 20 Pay-Per-View Channels). In addition, you can choose from 4 Premium Packages; ShowTime, Starz/Encore, HBO and/or Cinemax. You can mix and choose any combination or select them all if you wish. D) Local customer service.
When you sign up for HiTec Digital Cable, the HiTec staff will install the cable and set top box for you. As with the phone system, the people maintaining and servicing the cable TV system are Hawarden residents, who will resolve residents concerns quickly and courteously. A Local phone number, 551-2565 is answered and problems solved quickly and "the first time."
