Whereas, A new solid contract was approved with a $0.25 increase in July 1, 2004 and January 1, 2007 expiring December 31, 2008.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Hawarden, Iowa as follows:
Section 1. Amendment. Chapter 6, Section 6.8 of the Hawarden Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 6.8 – Garbage Solid Waste Collection Rates.
Residential - $11.75 per month$11.50
(If residence is unoccupied, the residential garbage solid waste collection charge will be waived.)
Commercial - $3.00
Note: Underlined portion are additions to the adopted text, while strike thru portion are deletions to the previous adopted text.
Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof, not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect on July 1, 2004, after its final passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.
