ORDINANCE 625

EXTENDING AN EXPIRATION DATE OF AN URBAN REVITALIZATION DISTRICT FOR TAX ABATEMENT PURPOSES

            Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Hawarden as follows:

            Section 1:  That the area previously created in Ordinance 512, be hereafter re-designated as an Urban Revitalization Area (Entire Property with Corporate City Limits), until June 30, 2014, unless renewed, or until, by Ordinance repealed, whichever comes first.

            Section 2:  All other aspects of Ordinance 512 are made a part of this Ordinance as if they were written out in their entirety.

            Section 3:  Severability Clause.  If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. 

            Section 4:  Effective Date.  This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
