BE IT ORDAINED By the City of Hawarden City Council as follows:
Section 1 - Title 12, Chapter VI Rates, Section 6.7 "Gas Utility Rates"" is hereby amended by increasing the gas rates per MCF within 6.7.1 "Gas Utility Rates For All Classes Of Service" and by raising thresholds within 6.7.2 "Wholesale Gas Adjustment Charges" as follows:

SECTION 6.7 Gas Utility Rates.
Section 6.7.1 Gas Utility Rates for all Classes of Service
Minimum System Support Charge: $5 (this includes no usage). First 1.5 MCF $ 7.03$7.99 per MCF {3% (.21) + .75} Next 3.0 MCF $ 6.66$7.61 per MCF {3% (.20) + .75} Next 5.0 MCF $ 6.43$7.37 per MCF {3% (.19) + .75} Next 40.0 MCF $ 6.30$7.24 per MCF {3% (.19) + .75} Next 50.0 MCF $ 5.73$6.65 per MCF {3% (.17) + .75} Next 50.0 MCF $ 5.64$6.56 per MCF {3% (.17) + .75} Over 150.0 MCF $ 5.51$6.43 per MCF {3% (.17) + .75}
Section 6.7.2 Wholesale Gas Adjustment Charges
The established rates shall be increased for each full cent increase above the established upper MCF cost threshold. In addition, the rates established shall be decreased for each full cent below the established lower MCF cost threshold. The threshold cost shall be based on all the blended costs (mixing of months) incurred to receive gas at the point of demarcation at the Ventura Index for any gas ordered. The upper threshold cost shall be set at $3.25 $4.00 per MCF and the lower threshold cost shall be set at $2.50 $3.25 per MCF.

Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof, not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.
