ORDINANCE NO. 599

AN ORDINANCE REVISING RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION RATES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Hawarden, Iowa as follows:

Section 1. Amendment. Chapter 12.50 of the Hawarden Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows:

12.50.010 Monthly Garbage Rates. The following garbage collection rates shall apply:

1. Residential: $ 10.99 per month $ 11.50 per month
2. Commercial:
$ 3.00 per month

Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 3. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof, not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective July 1, 2002, after its final passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.Passed and approved this 15th day of April, 2002.
