The Council Meeting was called to order at 12:10 p.m.
Present: Mayor Porter; Council Members: Woodley, Harvey, Nohava, Cauwels, Lubkeman.
Absent: None
Staff Present: Craig Coffey, City Administrator; Tom Kane, Public Works Director; Mike DeBruin, Police Chief, Chris Myres, Telecommunications Director; Sharole Rens, Finance Officer.
Staff Excused: Jim Pickner, City Attorney
Others Present: Representatives from InVision Architecture and West Plains Engineering; Judy Klemme
Item 2. Review of Construction Plans for the Fire Station Project (Review of Preliminary Layout with InVision Architect). No comments were received from the Fire Department members who had reviewed the plans. The architect talked briefly on the mechanical system within the building. He also answered questions regarding the water lines, gauge of the steel to be used in the building, the recommended heat source, brick for the exterior and the life expectancy of the building.
Item 1. Review of Construction Plans for the City Hall/Community Center Project (Review of Preliminary Layout with the Architect from InVision). Architects from In-Vision Architecture and Engineers from West Plains Engineering were present to review the construction plans of the City Hall/Community Center with the Council and any others that were present from the Indoor Committee. Items discussed included the parking site plan, any demolition that would be needed on the site, entrances to the building, doors, insulating of the outside walls and the acoustics in the Community Center. Also discussed were electrical needs and future technology needs within the whole plan.
Moved by Harvey/Cauwels to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 1:27 p.m.
