The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m.
Present: Council members: Woodley, Kallsen, Harvey, Cauwels.
Absent: Mayor Porter, Councilman Dorhout.
Staff Present: Craig Coffey, City Administrator; Tom Kane, Public Works Director; Chris Myres, Telecommunications Director.
Item 1. Public Hearing Regarding Wee Care Daycare/Community Center Project. The public hearing was opened at 12:00 p.m. There were no oral or written comments, therefore the public hearing was closed at 12:05 p.m.
Item 2. Resolution No. 2001-41 - Accepting Bids/Awarding Contracts for the Wee Care Daycare/Community Center Project. Discussion was held on the bids for the contract for the Wee Care Daycare/Community Center Project. The low bid of $888,700.00 was submitted by Sioux Contractors of Sioux City, Iowa. This amount was about $148,000.00 over the budgeted estimates.
Moved by Woodley/Cauwels to postpone the action on Resolution No. 2001-41 until Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. or to another time that could be established by City Staff. Aye: Woodley, Kallsen, Harvey, Cauwels. Nay: None. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Woodley/Kallsen to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. The Council meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
