The meeting was called to order at 12:00 Noon.
Present: Mayor Jacobs, Council members: Harvey, Cauwels, Kallsen, Dorhout.
Absent: Woodley (was out town)
Staff Present: Craig Coffey, City Administrator/Clerk; Tom Kane, Supt. of Public Works
1. Strategy to fill Telecommunications Director Job. The City Administrator presented a job description to the Council and asked for feedback on the type of person we would need to fill this position. He advised them he would advertise locally in Sioux City and Sioux Falls over the Internet and on trade publications. Advertising would begin next week. No decisions were made.
2. Waste Water Supervisor Position. Council was updated on the present attempts to fill the position and advised on what our next step would be in this process. No decisions were made.
3. Purchase of Portable Lap Top Computer. Craig Coffey, City Administrator, approached the Council on the need for a lap top computer. The computer was estimated to cost between $2,500-$3,500 if purchased or it could be leased. Moved by Harvey/Cauwels to allow the City Administrator to get a computer on a business lease. Motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:55 a.m.
