Remember, if you dial 911 on your cell phone, you will get the emergency dispatcher from the area where your cell phone is based. You need to remember that you will be connected to the LOCAL 911 number based upon your local prefex. Please tell them EXACTLY where you are calling from so they can direct the proper response. Keep in mind that the request must be transferred to Sioux County and then to us so it may be delayed. If you use your phone around Hawarden, and you have a local number, 551, you can forget all this UNTIL you leave our area.
